Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) announced the appointment of Dave Giroux as director, public relations and corporate communications. In this newly created senior role, he is responsible for DTNA’s public relations strategy, internal and external corporate communications, as well as media relations for its industry-leading family of Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, Thomas Built Buses, and other company brands.

Giroux joins Daimler Trucks North America after serving as Meritor, Inc.’s director of global brand management and marketing communications. In this role, he was responsible for the company’s brand transition from ArvinMeritor, Inc. to Meritor, Inc. previously; he served as director of marketing communications for Peterbilt Motors Company in Denton, Texas. Giroux also has extensive international experience operating as ArvinMeritor’s director of corporate communications and media relations in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
